The Australian Defence Force is proud to support our Fijian vuvale, just as Fiji’s Bula Force supported Victorian communities devastated by the black summer fires.

This was stated by the Australian Defence Minister, Linda Reynolds.

She said the two countries have a proud history of helping one another in times of need.

“Our ADF men and women are assisting the Republic of Fiji Military Forces to make a real difference to cyclone-affected communities – especially efforts to rebuild schools in time for the start of the school year. In doing so, we are following COVID-safe requirements at all times.”

Meanwhile, the ADF Engineers supporting RFMF’s Blackrock project in Nadi have been deployed to assist with Fijian Government response efforts in the North following Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

The two army engineers will remain in the North to assist NDMO as required. They return to Nadi when the Blackrock project resumes.
