New Nadi Football coach Ravinesh Kumar targets more glory days for the Green Machine in 2021.

The former Lautoka football coach replaces Kamal Swamy who is set to be the new Ba football coach.

Kumar is the lone A-licensed accredited coach in the country and has stepped down from his role as head coach of Lautoka in October after being appointed in July.

“I’m looking forward to the new environment, all set to work with the set of officials,” he said.

“There is an abundance of talented players in Nadi and will continue to the development work Swamy started.

“My hearty thanks to the Nadi FA for giving me this opportunity. I will do my best and l put my knowledge to good use.”

Nadi FA vice-president Max Chetty said: “On Thursday it was confirmed that Ravinesh Kumar will take over the new Nadi Football head coach position. Kamal Swamy has moved to Ba FA as he was given a good offer and we wish him all the best in the new season.”

Swamy said: “Nadi FA has brought in a new coach. I will comment once I joined Ba Football.”

Ba Football head coach Ronil Kumar earlier said that he remained undecided on staying with Ba after joining the Fiji Police Force in 2020 as a special constable.
