Bail For Five Who Allegedly Burgled Home On Christmas

Five people, including a juvenile, were granted bail by the Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday in relation to aggravated burglary.

The accused, Ilisoni Vakaloloma, Vilikesa Sayabo, Inosa Ratulevu, Ulaiyasi Tamanisau and the juvenile appeared before magistrate Nayani Kasturiratne.

They were each charged with one count of aggravated burglary and one count of theft.

The court heard on December 25, the five allegedly broke into a vacant house in Lomolomo, Lautoka, and removed the appliances said to be valued at $7800.

Police sergeant Veni Vunaki represented for Police prosecutions.

The five were granted bail with a $500 bail bond.

They were asked to provide two sureties, report to the Lautoka Police Station in the weekdays between 6am to 6pm, not to interfere with witness and not to offend.

The matter was adjourned for January 26 for mention.
