Let’s Go Local: Savasi On Bucket List For Natalyn

Natalyn Lakhan is the communications coordinator for the Ministry of Commerce, Tourism and Trade.

Ms Lakhan said she was fortunate her work allowed her the opportunity to travel to many places.

“I have been blessed with the advantage of visiting communities, to hear Fijian stories which spurs my interest in meeting new people,” she said.

She is also a food and fashion enthusiast, and has started her vlogs on Facebook and Instagram.

“I love a good cookbook, immersing myself in fashion blogs and fashion events,” Ms Lakhan said.

“Aside from that, I love nature and would spend hours reading about flowers and plants, and spending time in my late father’s vegetable garden.”

What is one place you would take every visitor to Fiji, and why?

I think every town and city has something special and unique to offer every visitor visiting Fiji.

Whether it is someone interested in adventure, culture, leisure, eco-tourism, backpacking, seeking special interest or educational experience.

We have the strength like any other destination to win the hearts of our visitors as it comes naturally to us Fijians.

What is your secret backyard favourite spot?

My love for local fashion draws me close to my favourite boutiques after work, or weekends.

I get inspired and have a few casual conversations with creative artists and designers.

I prefer to spend quality time at Savasi Island villas, Savusavu.

What is your favourite place in Fiji for a pie/ coffee?

Because I love being close to my residence and love to support local businesses, I enjoy grabbing a chocolate lamington or carrot cake from Corner Bakery Fiji located at Kundan Singh, Mobil Tamavua.

What is one Fiji spot on the top of your bucket list?

Savasi Island Resort would be at the top of my bucket list – as I would love to revisit Savusavu and experience what the hidden paradise has to offer.
