Police Arrest Man For Driving Test Impersonation
Land Transport Authority’s chief executive officer Samuel Simpson.

The Land Transport Authority of Fiji (LTA) apprehended and handed a man over to the Fiji Police Force, last week, for impersonating a defensive driving test applicant.

“As we have warned in the past, we will catch anyone engaging in such fraudulent activity and they will be taken to task,” said LTA CEO, Samuel Simpson.

“Once our team identified the impostor, they swiftly took action, handing him over to the Police, and he was arrested under the Crimes Act.”

Mr Simpson said that the Authority does not tolerate corruption from anyone – whether it is LTA employees, customers, or other stakeholders – and encouraged the public to come forward if they see any similar cases.

“We are committed to fighting corruption and fraud at all levels and take such matters very seriously. LTA has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to corruption and, once again, for those who think they can get away with such attempts – you will be caught.”

LTA was established to provide a safe land transport system for the nation in partnership with stakeholders, the Fijian Government and the community.
