Breadwinner Dies In Momi Bay Boat Crash

A family in Nadovi at Sonaisali in Nadi are grieving the death of their sole breadwinner who died in a boat crash yesterday.
Arun Reddy, 42, was fishing with his son and a relative at the Navula Passage in Momi Bay when a pilot boat allegedly crashed into his boat.
It killed him instantly, a Police report said.
The other passengers on either vessels were treated for minor injuries and sent home.
At the late Mr Reddy’s home, his wife, Meena, questioned her husband’s death.
“How can he leave us like this?’ she cried.
He was looking after his wife, their intellectually-challenged 20-year-old son and his wife’s sister and children.
Ms Reddy described her husband as a hardworking person, always loving and caring to her sister and her children.
“He was the only one supporting the whole family. I dont know what we can go on without him,” she said.
Police investigations continue into the boat tragedy.
