Value City (SP) Pte Ltd founder and Labasa businessman Alick Patrick Chute passed away past Friday.

Mr Chute and Australian businessman George Doonan founded Value City Ltd in Labasa in 1990s.

Value City is the leading and largest retailers of quality secondhand clothing chain with more than 15 stores Fiji-wide.

A funeral notice, on the Value City (SP) Pte Ltd Fiji Facebook page, said: “It is with profound sadness that the Chute family announce the death of Alick Patrick Chute.

“Pat passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, January 8, 2021.

“Pat was the eldest son of the late Albert Henry and Letitia Chute of Nakula Estate, Cakaudrove, Vanua Levu.

“Much loved husband of Rosie, adored father and father-in-law of Vera, Joe and Luisa, Albert and Anne, Lucy and George, Clara and Gil, James and Tamauwe, Maurice and Kitiana and Sagar and Ana.

“Pat will be missed by his grand-children, and great grand-children, extended families and friends.

“Funeral arrangements will be announced later

“Rest in peace Pat.”
