Single Father Saves $500 From Vegetable Sales To Buy Stationery

Being a father and mother to his three children, Sunil Sharma says his children will always be his first priority.
Mr Sharma is a vegetable farmer. His wife had left him more than a year ago. He now takes care of his three children. His eldest son, Shohrat Sharma is a Year 5 student at Votualevu Primary School, Nishal Sharma in Year 3 and the youngest daughter, Aniya Sharma will be joining kindergarten.
From his vegetable sales, Mr Sharma was able to save $500 to buy his children’s stationery and other school need.
“It is not easy taking the role of a father and mother to my three children. I am glad that my eldest son is mature enough to help me take care of his two other siblings,” he said.
“The little income I received from selling vegetables I managed it to buy our food and other daily needs and I have set aside some money to buy my children’s school stationery.”
The Votualevu, Nadi man said despite the separation of the children with their mother, they were satisfied under their father’s care.
His 10-year-old son said, “Even my mother has left us, I am happy to live with my dad because he loves and cares for us.”
