There are now 10 Leptospirosis, Typhoid, Dengue and Diarrhoea (LTDD) cases Post Tropical Cyclone Yasa in the Northern Division.

This was revealed by Republic of Fiji Military Forces Major Hiagi Ieli during a briefing with Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama at Naulumatua House in Bua yesterday.

Major Ieli said eight cases were from Macuata (Naduri, Qelewara and Nasuva) and two from Cakaudrove (Korolevu and Waivula).

“Two are admitted at Labasa Hospital and one in Savusavu Sub-divisional Hospital,” Major Ieli said.

“Among the 10, three are healthy carriers who do not show any symptoms of LTDD.”

He said the cases were from hot spot areas.

“Movement and mass gatherings are restricted,” he said.

“The Ministry of Health have sent out teams to raise more awareness on LTDD and COVID-19.”
