PM Assures Permanent Repairs To School

Partially damaged by Cyclone Yasa last month, the classrooms of Valelawa Primary School will have permanent repairs done on them, says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.
Mr Bainimarama assured the head of school about this while he was visiting the site. The school is being repaired by members of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
Mr Bainimarama was told that the school catered for seven communities with a total of 123 students and 12 students in Early Childhood.
He observed that a 60-year-old building had withstood the category 5 cyclone as it’s structure was strong. School Manager Dhirendra Prasad thanked the Prime Minister for the permanent repairs.
Meanwhile, some community members were eager to meet the Prime Minister as he is the first PM to have set foot on the premises.
Mr Bainimarama thanked the community members for acknowledging the fact and promised the community members that the RFMF will also tackle their water problems through the provision of a borehole.
