PM Commends Work By Aussies

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while visiting Galoa Island thanked the Australian Government through the team on board the HMAS Adelaide for the great help.
Mr Bainimarama marvelled at the work that was completed within two weeks.
He commended their commitment and sacrifice, leaving their families behind during Christmas and New Year to assist with rebuilding efforts after the devastation left by TC Yasa.
“We want to thank you for all the sacrifice and help in the rebuilding and relief work being done after the devastation left by TC Yasa.
“On behalf of all Fijians I would like to thank you Captain, thank you very much,” he said.
Australian Defence Force Padre Simote Finau welcomed the Prime Minister with a word of prayer.
“Bainimarama, may the Lord bless you and keep you, May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be faithful to you,” he prayed.
“May the Lord look you up with kindness and give you his peace.
“In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.”
Mr Bainimarama also acknowledged the villagers for their contribution to the rebuilding works.
