RFMF’s Sukuna Bowl Proceeds To Help 700 Students

Some 700 students in the Northern division will be assisted by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
This is made possible from proceeds and donations from last year’s Ratu Sukuna Bowl challenge. The assistance will come in the form of uniforms and school sandals.
Commander of the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces, Rear-Admiral Viliame Naupoto made their assistance known during a combined church service at the Peceli Methodist Church with the Third Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment’s Delta and Echo Companies over the weekend.
This was part of his West tour of nine Government-funded quarantine facilities.
The facilities are under supervision of RFMF personnel.
During the three-day visit, Rear-Admiral Naupoto met with RFMF men and women serving at the facilities.
He acknowledged their service in getting the job done. He reminded the soldiers that they were the frontline in support of the Ministry of Health in trying to contain the virus. Soldiers were also reminded that they would face strong disciplinary action if found in breach of the COVID-19 regulations already in place.
Rear-Admiral Naupoto also acknowledged the sacrifice of soldiers conducting rehabilitation efforts in Vanua Levu.
