Man In Hospital After Jumping From 3-Storey Lautoka Court Building

A man who appeared on drug charges at the Lautoka Magistrate’s Court yesterday jumped from the three-storey building.
Prashil Pratik Kumar, 33, hit his head on the second floor railings and was rushed to the Lautoka Hospital by Police.
Kumar was on bail for other charges before he was arrested again last week charged for being in possession of illicit drugs.
After his case was adjourned yesterday, he exited the courtroom on the third floor, headed for the front of the building and jumped over the railings.
It was still not clear whether he was in handcuffs at the time the incident happened.
No comments could be obtained on his condition at the hospital.
