Permanent Secretary For Local Government Resigns

The Chair of Public Service Commission, Vishnu Mohan has accepted the resignation of Ms Dimity Fifer, Permanent Secretary for Local Government.

Ms Fifer has tendered her resignation in light of family circumstances. Her last working day in Fiji will be 28 February 2021, after which she plans to return to her home country, Australia.

Mr Mohan thanks Ms Fifer for her nearly two years of service to the Ministry of Local Government, for her leadership during the COVID-19 crisis and other challenges faced by the country.

An acting appointment for the position of Permanent Secretary for Local Government will be announced in due course.
