Vodafone Tops Up Customers Affected By Cyclone

Vodafone Fiji has offered all its prepaid subscribers free $20 top-up as part of its immediate flood and cyclone relief assistance.
Over 780,000 users on the Vodafone Network, including INKK Mobile subscribers are expected to benefit from this generous offer by Vodafone, totalling over $15M in free talk time and free SMS.
How to redeem
Subscribers on the Vodafone Network will be able to redeem the free talktime by dialling *212# to claim the free $20 top-up, starting midnight tonight. The offer expires midnight Wednesday.
Vodafone Fiji’s acting chief executive officer Ronald Prasad said that at a time when many Fijians have been cut-off from families due to flooding and road closures, mobile communication is the only way to keep in contact to be assured of their safety and well-being.
“With many shops and businesses closed due to flooding and lack of accessibility, many mobile users have not been able to top up their phones.
“This free top-up will provide them immediate access to communicate with loved ones using their Vodafone mobiles.
“Furthermore, communication is essential to gather information on the needs of people and organise associated logistics to provide relief assistance as soon as possible.
“For this to happen, those affected need to be able to contact NDMO and other relevant authorities to receive assistance.”
