FIJI Water Foundation donated $125,000 for post cyclone relief.

This is to support the Fijian communities impacted by Category 5 Tropical Cyclone Yasa and the more recent devastation left by Tropical Cyclone Ana.

The donation was contributed directly to the Prime Minister of Fiji’s Tropical Cyclone Yasa Relief Fund.

The foundation also provided water, generators and assistance to households in the Naiyalayala community.

FIJI Water Foundation manager Marie Smith said she was inspired by the resilience of the villagers.

“It is unfortunate that natural disasters frequently hit Fiji, but the incredible resilience of the Fijian people has shone through time and time again, with the aftermath of Cyclone’s Yasa and Ana being no exception,” said Marie Smith.

“We will continue to do what we can to support the relief and rehabilitation efforts on behalf of the people who have been affected, especially the most vulnerable in our remote and hard to reach communities.”

Immediately after Tropical Cyclone Yasa, the FIJI Water Foundation donated two 20- foot containers of FIJI Water to the Government, and another four full containers following Cyclone Ana.

An additional supply of two cases of water have also been provided to every household in the Naiyalayala community impacted by Cyclone Ana.

The Foundation has deployed generators to power community water sources and will assist employees whose homes have been affected or damaged by the recent natural disasters.
