Suva’s scoring machine, Sairusi Nalaubu’s transfer will be finalised on Sunday.

Nalaubu and seven other players’ cases will be presented before the Fiji Football Association’s Player Status Committee, says chief executive officer, Mohammed Yusuf.

The FFA transfer window was opened on January 1 and closed on January 31.

About 225 applications were received according to FFA.

Among the eight disputed are Nalaubu, Labasa’s Antonio Tuivuna and Rewa’s Gabiriele Matanisiga.

However, Nalaubu and Tuivuna’s name were missing from the transfer list.

Meanwhile the duo is awaiting the green light to join Lautoka.

Yusuf indicated that their cases would be discussed later this week.

“Their names are not on the list because it is a dispute, this Sunday it will be cleared in Nadi,” Yusuf said.

“They are in a different category, those applications are noted but pending on the player’s status committee finalisation, if they agree to receive the application, then we will process,” he said.

“Lautoka did apply for both, it was noted in our system, and was referred to the status committee because there were some legal arguments to it.

“The lawyers will present their cases to the Player Status Committee.

“The player’s status committee has about eight cases to look at.

“Some have disputed in the contract amount and all that -different categories,” Yusuf added.
