Burly Flying Fijians winger Nemani Nadolo has embarked on a new business venture.

Nadolo has set an example to our professional rugby players, to start thinking and working towards their future when their sporting career comes to an end.

According to the Leicestershire. Live, the powerhouse Fijian winger is tackling big challenges on and off the field.

At the end of the 2019/20 campaign, he had been one of a few bright sparks for the Leicester Tigers.

At the age of 33, the former Montpellier, Crusaders and Exeter Chiefs back is sinking his teeth into plans for life after rugby.

Before making his return to international rugby- by playing for the Flying Fijians in last November’s Autumn Nations Cup, the 6ft 5in star was seen at the training ground base of Tigers’ Premiership rivals, Wasps.

New project

Not because he is switching clubs, but instead, investing his time into a new project.

London Burger Kitchen (LBK) is the brainchild of former Nottingham Rugby player Joe Taylor, who recently returned to the United Kingdom from Dubai with a mission to make a success of an American dirty burger restaurant concept.

The first of which opened in Coventry at Broadstreet RFC in Binley Woods in last October, where Wasps has based its training operation since the summer of 2016. They hope to be in a new facility in south Warwickshire by the start of the 2021/22 season.

As we’ve seen already, Taylor says, there’s plenty of years left in Nadolo, but at 33 he is quite rightly thinking about his future and the next chapter.

“So he (Nadolo) has come on board as a director. He’s put so much effort and enthusiasm into it, it’s great to see.

“He’s a big name in the sport. An icon. He’s played all over the world and at World Cups, he’s back in the Fiji set up too now. But we think he can bring a lot to what we’re doing here in terms of his profile and status,” Taylor said.

Nadolo’s wife, Kim, is also a part of the team as a creative director as LBK pushes on with plans to open restaurants in major cities throughout the United Kingdom, including in Leicester.

“We’re in talks with various rugby clubs, football clubs and sports venues across the country and we hope to get LBK up and running Leicestershire too in the coming months,” added Taylor.
