LDS Sprinter To Work On Her Technique, Diet

Running technique will be very important heading into the Suva Zone Two meet and the Coca- Cola Games, says Latter Day Saints College sprinter Sereana Vulaono.
She clocked 12.7 seconds in the intermediate girls 100m during their interhouse competition at the ANZ Stadium, Suva yesterday.
Speaking to SUNsports, the 17-year-old has been working hard on her running form during training.
“I’ve been working on my running posture and making sure I’m doing the right technique,” she said.
“My coach has reminded me to throw my arms back and forth to push me forward.
“During the interhouse I had to improve on my starts and to see that I’m well ahead.
“The interhouse have really helped me gauge my fitness level and where my speed is.”
“There are areas that I’ll have to work on before the zone. My aim after the interhouse is to try to get a personnel best.
Eat right
Vulaono added that diet is important in her quest to win all her races
“I’m really strict with my diet and making sure that I watch what I eat. It has to be the right food that contributes to my training,” she added.
