With a vision to serve average income earners, Premium Care Medical Centre Pte Limited has recently opened another branch in FNPF’s Dolphin Plaza, Suva.

Owner and director, Peter McPherson said the various services provided by the Premium Care Medical centres were aimed at the emerging middle-class families, especially at the onset of COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr McPherson who recently retired from heading FijiCare Insurance Limited, a medical insurance company, said his experience as the managing director of FijiCare had given him an insight on the need for better and more affordable medical facilities in Fiji.

“I thought of giving back to the Fijian community with better, cleaner and more efficient medical services with better locations,” he said.

Along with the FNPF Plaza branch, other Premium Care Medical centres are in Amy Street and Garden City, Raiwaqa – both in Suva.

Investing around FJ$414,000 collectively for all the medical centres and FJ$75,000 in the new branch, Mr McPherson said the clinics are modelled after medical facilities in Australia and New Zealand.

“We have the upgraded medical equipment, furniture and facilities which will be beneficial for our clients.”

He also added the clinic facilitates patients with insurance covers while also making customised payment methods for individuals who need it.

“We are trying to make our services more feasible and reachable at the same time,” he added.

Services available through the Premium Care Medical Centres include consultancy, minor operations, referrals and also mental health consultancy.

Mr McPherson is still a board member for FijiCare Insurance Limited.
