Post Fiji Limited chief executive officer Anirudha Bansod was born and brought up in India.

Mr Bansod did his master’s education in New Zealand and PhD in Australia.

He is a New Zealand citizen and Australian Permanent Resident and PIO card holder of India.

He said: “One day, I would love to hold Fiji citizenship as well.

I have been associated with Fiji for many years and I consider Fiji as my first country because of the immense love from people of Fiji and beauty of country.

“Fiji is by any token the best country I ever lived and worked in my career.

I have worked in India, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Solomon Islands, Nauru, and PNG and visited almost all Pacific countries for work.

“I feel there are a lot more smart and intelligent people surrounding me. I have a strong will to succeed further and passion to make it happen.”

What’s One Place You’d Take Every Visitor To Fiji And Why?
Beauty of Fiji is reflected in the warm and caring attitude of Fijians.

That is why anyone who comes to Fiji, falls in love.

The inbuilt DNA of Fijian people is so warm, welcoming, and treating outsiders as a guest makes Fiji your home away from home.

To answer that question, I will take visitor to every part of Fiji if I can, so they not only see the major resorts as a tourist. But feel and experience the rural village area, ‘The Koro’.

Where they will find how satisfying, peaceful, simple people live with utmost happiness.

What’s Your Secret Backyard Favourite Spot?
I do not have any secret spot.

But it’s not a bad idea to indulge in.

Probably, this question gave me idea to find a secret favourite spot.

What’s Your Favourite Place In Fiji For A Pie/Coffee?
Anywhere, where a few of my friends and I meet and have a few beers, Indian snacks and laugh, without any gossip; that becomes my favourite spot.

I am an avid fan of “Indian DHAL”.

Anywhere I get simple “Indian DHAL”, I feel very happy to have dhal and roti or dhal and rice.

Tavoro Falls, Taveuni.

Tavoro Falls, Taveuni.

What’s One Fiji Spot On The Top Of Your Bucket List?
Over a period, with passion and dreams, I became workaholic.

I travelled to a lot of countries and visited many places, but it was purely for work.

Hence, I missed the opportunity to experience and enjoy the beauty of life apart from work.

I have been to Taveuni only once and that was for work.

Whole day, I was busy at work and missed the opportunity to see the beauty of the place.

While looking from window of the plane, I saw different shades of water from blue to green and all the greenery around.

That experience was mesmerising.

I wish to go on holiday and spend some time without a computer, TV, mobile and just experience the beauty of nature.
