The friends at the Inner Wheel Club Steigerwald together with former students of Mulomulo Primary School are continuing to assist the school by providing lunch to 347 students.

Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay director of Engineering Muni Pillay led the charge together with some of his former classmates Kishan Kumar, Sachida Nair, and Lakesh Pillay.

They have been providing lunch to the school children since the COVID-19 crisis started last year and plan to continue doing so.

This month’s drive was also supported through the initiative and funds from Inner Wheel Club Steigerwald which was organised by Katrina Dressino, the wife of Silvano Dressino, the general manager of the Fiji Marriott Resort.

Ms Dressino said: “Even though the group of friends are also impacted with fewer working hours and pay cuts they didn’t forget those in their community who need help,” she said.

“It shows so much of the Fijian spirit that I love. How a group of people support their community.

“We are so happy that we finally managed to provide lunch for 347 children at Mulomulo Primary School and kindergarten.

“We were really excited to see so many happy faces.”

InnerWheel Club Steigerwald has been supporting community projects in the Momi Bay area since 2017.
