Furniture Shipped To Regional Countries

A leading local furniture maker continues to make positive economic impact within Fiji and the Pacific.
Comfort Home Distribution (PTE) Limited managing director, Himen Chandra, said they had been exporting quality furnishings to regional markets on a monthly basis.
The company has been supplying furnitures to most of the regional countries including;
- Tonga,
- Samoa,
- American Samoa,
- Vanuatu,
- Marshall Islands,
- Wallis and Futuna,
- Tuvalu and
- Papua New Guinea.
“We export bed bases, mattresses, headboard, pillows, lounge sets and wooden furniture to the regional countries,” Mr Chandra said.
He said their commitment to quality and consistent products had been a pivotal factor in securing export partners.
“Our products are in demand because they are robust and suitable for the Pacific market. We manufacture products, with our customers in mind.
“We have and continue to employ all our staff through these tough times.”
The company has a team of 70 plus strong personnel.
“Even with COVID-19, the company continues to serve its customers and deliver the best manufactured products that meet the customers’ needs.
“We use the Transam Shipping Line to export our furniture.
“We have been exporting furniture to the region for over 20 years. It takes around one to three weeks for shipments to reach our clients. There are some delays at times, mostly weather related though.
“We understand that we are competing with Asian imports as they also import and shipped to many Pacific countries.
“Ours are different because we guarantee quality and longevity. Most regional countries, including Fiji, do not have proper policies to protect against importation of inferior products,” he said.
“We continue to stand by our regional customers, ensuring steady supply of furnishings.”
