About 400 students participated at the Ratu Sukuna Memorial School (RSMS) interhouse competition at the ANZ Stadium, yesterday.

Only the jumps and tracks were held at the stadium, while the throw was done at school.

Meet manager, Jane Danford, said preparations have been disrupted with the COVID-19 pandemic and Tropical Cyclones Yasa and Ana last month.

“Because of the one year lapse, so students need to start from stage one again,” she said.

“And then another week of school closure.

“This year we have new athletes, most of our senior and inter athletes have gone.

“We’re still on the lookout for athletes this year for the Coca-Cola games, we hope to get a few.

“We’re banking on our field athletes because Cokes is very competitive.

Results will be announced today.

RSMS is the defending champions for the boys division in the Suva Zone One athletics competition.
