Fiji Sun Court News – Feb 25
Justice Vinsent Perera has asked the prosecution to look into the evidences pertaining to the murder of a security guard in February, 2019.
This is following the State prosecutor from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution, Kimberly Semisi’s submission on the evidence to be presented in trial.
Ms Semisi told the court that the State was proceeding with the matter against Fabiano Dakai following the outcome of the third psychiatric evaluation report.
She further told the court that the accused showed symptoms of medical illness when medically examined in February 2018 before the caution interview had been conducted by the Police.
She further added that an axe was found days later in a creek which was the alleged murder weapon in the case.
Justice Perera questioned Ms Semisi whether there was any way to link the axe with the accused.
