A multi-cuisine Indian restaurant, Rajdhani, officially opened on February 24 in 53 Carnarvon street, Suva, bringing authentic Indian dishes to the public.

Khem Singh, owner of Rajdhani, said the restaurant aimed at providing Indian cuisines from different Indian states to the people of Fiji.

“We wanted to do something different; there are already restaurants with Indian food but we are also looking at making Indian sweets,” he said.

“I want to serve Punjabi sweets and other Indian delicacies found in the different states in India.”

He said they are bringing food from India to the locals here in the hopes that the locals can also have a taste of authentic food.

With an investment of over FJ$80,000, the restaurant can cater for up to 70 people and boasts more than 200 dishes in their menu.

The restaurant is open from 11am to 3pm for lunch and 6pm to 9pm for dinner from Monday to Sunday.
