A 28-year-old former sales executive of Fiji TV who stole more than $11,000 from the Company on false promises to its clients has been jailed for three years and seven months.

Jone Silaira appeared before Magistrate Seini Puamau for the sentencing after he had pleaded guilty to 16 counts of obtaining financial advantage and one count of causing a loss.

Silaira, while being a sales executive at Fiji TV, obtained financial advantage and caused a loss of $11,996.17 to Fiji TV between March 6 and November 9, last year.

Silaira failed to provide services of solar system and installation and repeater taxi system to the complainants.
