Twelve former employees of the Fijian Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) were part of the company bonus payout of $90,795.
The payout for the fiscal year of 2019, was made yesterday.
A Key Performance Indicator (KPI) bonus payout of $212,000.00 was also paid out to the staff prior to the company bonus.
Former producer of Jejemon TV show, Andrew Blake thanked the company and CEO for acknowledging the efforts that had been put in by former and current employees of the company.
“This is something that they have done throughout the years and personally, I feel good because I had contributed in 2019 to the success of FBC and what it is now.”
“Receiving the 2019 bonus is indeed a great feeling because the company still recognised the hard work I had put in,” he said.
FBC chief executive officer, Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, said the bonuses given to managers, team leaders and the staff, was timely.
He added that despite the pandemic impacts on the company, he was thankful to the staff ’s understanding on how to make ends meet for the company.
“All credits go to the entire team for their hard work even though there was a 10-percent pay cut for six months,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.
