First Doses Of AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine Administered To 10 Frontline Workers

The first doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to 10 frontline workers at the Nadi International Airport today.

Receiving the first ‘jab’, Dr Mara Vukivukiseru from the Lautoka hospital highlighted that having the vaccine is very important during this fight against COVID-19.

The same sentiments were made by RFMF head of COVID-19 security taskforce, Major Neumi Vakadewabuka who also called on all Fijians to register in order to be vaccinated.

“It will be good for you, good for Fiji. It’s safe, we have done it and so should you.”

The first ‘jabs’ were administered to:
1. MOH – Dr Mara Vukivukiseru.

2. MOH nurse – Pratika Singh.
3. MOH Health inspector – Setareki Raiula.
4. RFMF’s Major Neumi Vakadewabuka.
5. FRCS – Sanjeep Reddy.
6. Hotelier – Daniel Roy.
7. Fiji Airways Purser – Maria Vani.
8. ATS Assistant Manager Passenger Services – Nairah Pakeezah Mohammed.
9. Fiji Police Force Officer in Charge Border Police – Superintendent Aisake Kafoa.
10.Fiji Airports – Mr Joe Grey.
