Committal proceedings have been filed against former Fiji Labour Party candidate Aman Ravindra-Singh for failing to comply with the orders made by the Civil High Court of Suva.

Ravindra-Singh was ordered by Justice Lyone Seneviratne in his Judgement to pay $120,000 in compensation to Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum for defamatory claims made on social media.

This was to be paid within 30 days from the date of the judgment which was in July, 2020.

He was also ordered to publish apologies in all local daily newspapers.
