Radradra All Set To Return

Bristol Bears’ superstar centre Semi Radradra is set for a return before the end of the month,
This was revealed by Bears Director of Rugby Pat Lam.
The Fijian international captain was sidelined for eight to 10 weeks with a knee injury which was picked up in a detailed medical with the club following complaints of a niggling pain he was suffering from.
The medical discovered the explosive 28-year-old had a minor tear in his tendon which required rest in a brace to ensure a more serious injury didn’t happen further down the line.
It was a precautionary move and an understandable one considering the marquee player’s importance to Bristol’s lofty ambitions.
Radradra’s last appearance was in the stunning 48-3 victory over Bath on January 29 when he made an incredible 162metres with the ball in hand as the focal point of the Bears’ attack. Remarkably in his absence Bristol have won four, draw one and lost just once to stay top of the Gallagher Premiership.
Fellow Fijian Siva Naulago has been in explosive form scoring a hat-trick in round 12 against Worcester Warriors. One of his tries was voted by fans as the Famous Grouse Try of the Round. Last week he played equally well in the bonus win over Wasps over the weekend.
Samoa international Alipate Leiua and former All Blacks Charles Piutau are likely to be considered for their next match against Northampton Saints on Sunday.u can unsubscribe at any time.
Meanwhile, Saints hooker Sam Matavesi has been named Travis Perkins Player of the Month for February, after claiming 45 per cent of the fans vote.
The Flying Fijian edged out fellow nominees Piers Francis, Matt Proctor and David Ribbans to the club’s monthly award, with his impressive performances winning over Saints supporters as the side secured victories on the road at Wasps and Exeter Chiefs before narrowly losing out to Bath on the last day of the month.
