The Labasa football players are desperate to beat Rewa at Subrail Park on Saturday to claim their first win in the Digicel Premier League.

The Babasiga Lions have recorded two scoreless draws in the competition.

Labasa coach, Ravneel Pratap, said it was important for them to be consistent in the DPL since all teams are tough.

He said they were aiming to get three points.

“The morale in camp is high as the players have realised the importance of the game against Rewa,” he said.

Pratap confirmed that Lekima Gonerou would still miss the match since he has not recovered from the injury he had sustained during the Champion verses Champion Series.

He said Sitiveni Rakai was also not available for the match since he was red carded in the game against Ba along with Ilaisa Nayasi who had accumulated two yellow cards.

He said players and officials were trying their best to make fans proud.

“We again request all our loyal Babasiga fans to come and support the team. Also, the side is focused on scoring our first goal in the league,” Pratap added.
