Raiwasa Taveuni and LAR Barbarians must win this weekend’s third leg of the Super Sevens Series in Savusavu, if they are to stand a chance of being the overall winner.

Police Blue currently lead the series points table with 44 points followed by Raiwasa Taveuni with 36 and Barbarians with 32.

The Keponi Paul- captained Police Blue side are gunning to win the Savusavu tournament, which starts on Friday to secure the series despite having one tournament remaining.

Barbarians coach/player, Seremaia (Jerry) Tuwai said they have to be focused on the goals they have set heading into the tournament.

The World Rugby Sevens Player of the Decade also indicated that they could field Olympian and France-based Semi Kunatani, if he is available.

The Barbarians top Pool D as they face Wadigi Salvo, Nawaka and Fire.

If available, Kunatani could partner promising youngsters Taniela Sadrugu and Kitione Salawa in the forwards.

The backs could see the enterprising Kaminieli Rasaku combining with Jiuta Wainiqolo.

Speaking to SUNsports, Tuwai said he needs his young players to focus on the job ahead.

“It’s all about giving these young players a lot of game time in big tournaments like this where they can gain experience and exposure,” he said.

“We are a young team I believe that we’ve to be focused during our games.”

Tuwai said players need to work hard when given their jerseys.

He added they are going into the tournament with a mission to improve on their position on the points table.

“We will try and come up with something good that will keep our fans entertained and our opponents guessing,” Tuwai added.
