Team Mali For Charity Golf

Team Mali will be at full force to scoop the top prize at the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Fiji inaugural golf tournament 2021 at the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club, this Saturday.
The side include professional golfers of Ritesh Chandra, Bill Suguturaga and Nitulesh Mali in the three-person elimination Ambrose where they’ll compete with teams that include a mix of men and women.
“We’re looking forward to this event and playing alongside two professional golfers should be an interesting feat. All for charity and good golf,” said Mali.
Also among the field is the Speaker of the House of Parliament and an ardent golfer Ratu Epeli Nailatikau. The event is supported by McDonald’s and all funds raised will benefit RMHC Fiji.
Tournament coordinator, Trevor Fox said it will be a great weekend of challenging golf being played for a worthwhile charity.
“So far more than 30 teams have registered for this event,” Fox said.
Further to this, Fox also confirmed that the event will be held at the Denarau Golf Course each year.
“All proceeds for the event will go towards the new Ronald McDonald House being built in Labasa. The house will provide accommodation for families in Vanua Levu with a seriously ill child in the Labasa Hospital,” he added.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Fiji’s Organisational leader, Vere Wong, said this is the first golf event organised for charity.
“We’re excited and thankful to Fox for all the work done so far in organising the event,” Wong said.
RMHC Fiji currently has a Ronald McDonald Family Room at the CWM Hospital.
Registration begins at 9am with shotgun start at 11am, a presentation function for all the players’ starts at 5.30pm at Cardo’s Restaurant on Port Denarau.
