Yasawa North Back After Two Years

Yasawa North Secondary School athletes are confident of a positive performance in the two-day Lautoka/ Yasawa Zone which gets underway at Churchill Park, Lautoka, tomorrow.
The school is represented by 19 athletes- 11 boys and eight girls and are sponsored by Nanuya Island Resort.
The school makes its return to the school track and field event after a two-year lapse.
Since the school’s establishment in 2016 Yasawa North Secondary first participated in the school athletics in 2018 in the Maritime Zone and won the boy’s division and settled for runner’s up in the girl’s division.

School principal Tomasi Lakeba said the school, villagers and community looked forward to the zone.
“Since this will be our first participation in the Lautoka Zone we will go out there and do our best,” he said.
“We are grateful for the support coming in from our parents, villagers and fans.”
“We thank Nanuya Island Resort for supporting these athletes that will be flying Yasawa North Secondary School flag in the Lautoka Zone,” Lakeba added.
