Unbeaten Fijian cruiserweight champion Alivereti Koiyaca is expecting a tough time in tonight’s clash against Savenaca Naliva at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

The two will fight in the main bout for the vacant Pro Box cruiserweight title under the South Pacific Boxing Promotions.

During the weigh-in at the Nair’s Dais yesterday, a trim looking Koiyaca tipped the scale at 82.8 kilogramme while Naliva was at 88.65kg.

“Savenaca is a champion boxer and I expect a tough fight from him,” Koiyaca said.

When approached Naliva said he’s looking forward to the fans coming in big numbers to support boxing.

“We know that tomorrow will be a cracker. My game plan is to go for the 10 rounds.”

In the main supporting bout, Nathan ‘The Hornet’ Singh weighed in at 62.2kg while Ronald Naidu was at 62.3kg.

“I’m looking forward as I have prepared myself to the fullest,” Singh said.

“At the end of the day there is a plan and I hope Ronald will be there to see it for himself.”

Naidu said he cannot wait to jump into the ring.

“See you in the ring,” he told Singh after the weigh in.

Boxing Commission of Fiji’s board member Usman Ali Lale said all the fights are ready to go.

“All the belts are in for Saturday’s programme and it will be a cracker,” he added.
