Nasoko Back

Former Fijian 7s captain Kalione Nasoko is confident of making it back to the national side and getting a ticket to the Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan.
Nasoko played for the Police Blue 7s side at the Fiji Rugby Super Sevens Series at Ratu Ganilau Park, Savusavu, yesterday.
“I’ve fully recovered from my injuries,” he told SUNsports.
Nasoko said timing is an important component in a 7s game where they have to keep the intensity and the speed of the game high.
Nasoko’s Police Blue have booked their spot in today’s Cup quarterfinal against Eastern Saints.
What’s on today
Police Blue captain Keponi Paul said they took each game at a time and came focused.
“We know there is a lot of expectation from us therefore we needed to stay calm and play every pool game as a final,” he said.
In the second Cup quarterfinal, Wardens face Peceli Nacebe’s Axellerate Stallions.
Stallions coach Rupeni Nahiga said, “We came with a mission and that was to at least make it to the Cup quarterfinals.

A fired-up Tabadamu face Fire in the third Cup quarterfinal.
The final Cup quarterfinal sees Napolioni Ratu’s LAR Barbarians face Alasio Naduva’s Army.
Barbarians captain Taniela Sadrugu said they came with a plan and that was to top the pool and qualify to the Cup quarterfinal.
“We knew our pool matches would be tough and we took each game as a final,” he said.
