All Freight Logistics (AFL) has stepped in to sponsor first timers, Naisogoceva Brothers for the 45th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.

The team from Vukavu, Naceva, Kadavu was grateful for the support.

The players received jerseys and were also provided with accommodation by AFL.

AFL sales consultant, Apakuki Raisuaki, said this was part of their corporate social responsibility and it was a honour to be able to contribute to grassroots development of rugby in Fiji.

“This is something that we always wanted to do and give back to the community,” he said.

“I’m from Vukavu, I’ve been wanting to do something for my village and I’m so grateful to my AFL director, Alfaaz Ali, was able to do this, to support a team that is still growing.

“Most of these players will be playing in Suva for the first time and are happy to be get the generous support from a company like AFL,” he said.

“And coming from the village, most of them are yaqona and dalo farmers, and they paid their own way to Suva.

“Now they can only focus on rugby as much of the burden has been taken care of with the company’s support.

“They do not have to worry about their accommodation, food and transport.”

All they have to do now is to go out there and play to represent Vukavu, Kadavu, All Freight Logistics and all our supporters.”

Naisogoceva is in Pool A with defending champions, CK Ezy Buy Tabadamu, Lami Cavaliers and B Town Blues.
