The Ram Sami Easter Eggcellent Fun Day 2021 will be a unique one.

Not only will it include fun activities for kids and youths, it will also have rugby clinics for them as well.

The Fun Day will be held at the Mt Saint Mary’s Primary School ground at Martintar, Nadi, next Saturday.

The rugby clinic will be conducted by World Rugby Level 1 and 2 coaches and a few former players who are part of the Kombat Sportswear Supporting Grassroots Programme.

Fijian 7s winger, Alasio ‘Mr Nitro’ Naduva, will also be present.

Ram Sami and Sons (Fiji) Limited handed over a $3000 cheque on Thursday for the organisation of the event.

Business development manager, Abdul Shameer said this was part of their corporate social responsibility.

“In this fun day you will have rugby clinic for the kids and youths of Nadi and we do a pledge to all the companies who would like to participate to come with your tents and products.

“It is a humble request to have specials that day for the people of Nadi to take advantage of.

“Whatever the companies will donate will go to the Golden Age Home in Lautoka (formerly known as Natabua Old People’s Home).

“We do not accept cash, only in kind donation,” Shameer added.

“Please do support Ram Sami, this is one way we give back to the community when you buy a Ram Sami product, which is Fijian made.”

Event organiser, Malakai Yamaivava said the stalls are limited and will be free of charge.

“Mainly the event was birthed through the idea of helping our Nadi community especially our hotel and airline workers, who have been laid off,” he said.

“This fun day provides the opportunity to generate income for their families. A vast array of activities will be held such as kids and youths rugby clinic, entertainment, corporate tents, food stalls and art and craft comps for the kids.

“You can create something with the theme of Easter and Ram Sami and enter into the competition.

“Mr. Nitro (Naduva) will also be at the ground helping with clinics and it will be a great motivation to the young ones who plan to take up rugby as a career,” Yamaivava added.

Supporting Grassroots Programmes, they have been conducting clinics for the past three years in Rakiraki, Ovalau, Tailevu and the recent one was in Savusavu.

Ram Sami and Sons PTE Ltd, was one of the co-sponsors and accompanied these coaches to the villages and schools to promote the rugby clinics.

The kids rugby clinic will be from 10-11am and youths from 2-3pm.

All stall bookings can be arranged with Yamaivava. You can contact him on 9386928 or 7231122.
