The Fijian Shadow 7s side hammered Tabadamu 31-14 to win the Cup final of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament at the ANZ Stadium, Suva, last night.

Captain Jerry Tuwai ran in two tries in the first half to help give the side a handy 24-7 lead at halftime. He was also named the Player of the Final.

Fijian 7s coach Gareth Baber told SUNsports that the team needed to be ruthless and that made the difference.

Earlier on, the Fijian Shadow side survived a torrid encounter against Wardens, winning 14-10 and a late conversion from Kitione Taliga on Tuwai’s try saw them edge Island Life USA Raiwasa 14-12.

The Fijian Shadow side received $10,000 while Tabadamu settled for $5000.
