A shop owner in Valelevu is considering closing her business after it was subjected to three alleged burglaries.

Sarita Goundar said the third break-in happened on Tuesday night.

Ms Goundar’s shop is located at a complex in Valelevu, Nasinu, together with Hot Bread Kitchen, two restaurants and an institute.

She said it was shocking because the suspected burglars looked like they had plenty of time on their hands to go through her shop.

“They even drank milk and ate ice-cream,” she said.

“The burglars were able to break-in because it rained heavily that night and it was so loud that the Hot Bread Kitchen staff could not hear them.

“The bread makers work through the night and this happened during curfew hours,” she said.

She said the suspects removed the burglar grills and entered using the back window.

Tuna, canned fish, lollies, chewing gums and chocolates were among the things taken.

She believes the same suspects are committing the crime.

Ms Goundar said it was already hard competing against three supermarkets in the vicinity and now they were subjected to the alleged burglary for the third time.

No arrests have been made as Police investigations continue.
