A 47-year-old woman died following a motor vehicle accident along the Coral Coast highway in Sigatoka this afternoon.
The victim was traveling in a vehicle with three others when their car was allegedly hit by another vehicle driven by a 45-year-old man.
All four occupants were rushed to the Korolevu Health Centre where the victim was, unfortunately, dead on arrival while three others were treated and sent home.
The 45-year-old driver and another man were on their way to Suva while the vehicle that the victim was traveling in went towards Nadi when the incident occurred.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are still being investigated.
