Good Friday Tragedy: Woman, 47, Dies In Horror Road Crash
A 47-year-old woman is the latest road victim in the country, Police confirmed.
Police spokesperson Savaira Tabua said the deceased was travelling in a vehicle with three others when the vehicle they were travelling in was allegedly hit by another vehicle driven by a 45-year-old man.
The incident happened along the Coral Coast yesterday.
The occupants were rushed to the Korolevu Health Centre where the victim was pronounced dead. Three others were treated and sent home.
Ms Tabua said the 45-year-old driver and another man were on their way to Suva. The vehicle that the victim was travelling in was heading towards Nadi.
Both vehicles landed in a ditch.
Korolevu Fire Station responded to the incident and assisted the Police. Police are investigating the incident.
