Police will continue to increase visibility on our roads with a lot of movement expected.

ACP Khan said it was unfortunate that a life has been claimed on Friday due to the negligence of some drivers however the need to take extra care on our road was vital.

ACP Khan is hoping that drivers will always adhere and follow road rules to avoid such circumstances and of course, random Breathalyzer checks are conducted as Police also try to address the issue of drinking and driving.

“Please plan your travel well as there will be a lot of vehicles moving in and out of towns and major cities and if you drink, don’t drive and put yourself in a regrettable situation”.

ACP Khan urging everyone to be vigilant and take necessary safety precautions if you’re intending on going for a picnic .

He also sounded a warning to drug peddlers and movers to stop the illegal trade as police beefed up its operation in this regard.

“We are warning those involved in the drug trade that Police will be on alert and no matter where they try and hide, we will catch them, and we know there are people who will be trying to earn fast cash, and some will be resorting to illegal activities.”

Remember safety is everyone’s responsibility.
