Quick action by the Nadi CID team has resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old man of Qeleloa in Nadi.

The suspect allegedly involved in a break-in at the Five Squares shop in Nadi in the early hours of yesterday and was later arrested from his home at Qeleloa.

Five Squares sales representative  Greg Fisher said when they opened their shop yesterday morning, they noticed a hole on the wall.

He said it was the first time they had experienced such an incident at the shop.

More than $400 was stolen.

“I just can’t believe that people are still mucking around and stealing during curfew hours,” Mr Fisher said.

Police said the man was also alleged to have been involved in a robbery case at J Kevi Complex in Nadi last week. Investigation into the alleged incident continues.
