The Alipate Bolabasaga captained- Mamba team want a strong finish in today’s Nadi Basketball Association (NBA) Summer League.

The Lautoka based- side face Team Kings in their last game of the round at the Fiji Airport hard court in Namaka, Nadi.

Mamba vice-captain Andrew Reyes said, for their players this is taken as their exposure to club games and what it’s like to play outside of secondary school competition

“We had a great run at the NBA Easter competition,” Reyes said.

“We had a slow start to the summer league but we want to finish strongly. That is our aim.

“We know Kings is not to be ruled out as they are good competitors.

“We’re looking to leave a mark by ending the Summer League strongly and hope to keep that momentum going into the winter league.”

The Mamba side have talented players like Emori Laqai, Alipate Bula, Bradley Seiya, and Shahil Singh.

In Thursday’s match, the Henry Howard led Spartans who had the services of Dwayne Dean and Dallas Ram beat Harlequins 47-21.

Spartans take on Legends in their next match.

In the women’s category Team Tamahine are hoping to redeem themselves.

The side have players like Selena Ross, Bridget Fisher, Gabrielle Ravitu, Lilian Ravoka, Sereana Tivai and Georgia Ravitu.

Women: Kahihi v Ladyjets, Hotshots v Royals, Ladyjets v Tamahine, Hotshots v Kahihi.

Men: Kings v Cardinals, Trojans v Legends, Freebird v Harlequins, Trojans v Cardinals, Mamba v Kings, Spartans v Legends.
