Labasa Remain Unbeaten, With A Draw

Labasa have maintained their unbeaten run in the Digicel Premier League.
The Babasiga Lions travelled to Prince Charles Park to hold Nadi 0-0 yesterday.
Nadi coach, Shalen Lal, said he is satisfied with the draw and getting a point from the encounter.
“We had a lot of chances to score but we missed,” he said.
“Well I’m satisfied with the draw.”
“I had said earlier that they (Labasa) had a very good defence and they had worked hard for this game.
“And at the same time I’ll say my boys had played well also.”
Lal acknowledged the Nadi supporters for coming out in big numbers.
Labasa coach Ravneel Pratap said it was fortunate that they got a draw.
“It was a good game and we were lucky that at least we got a draw as Nadi played well. This was expected since they were the home side.
“Our boys also did very well but it was unfortunate that we could not score despite the chances we had. A big thank you to the Labasa fans for their endless support.”
What happened: Nadi had the upper had the upper hand as they played attacking football.
The hosts brought in Rusiate Matererega in the starting line-up as he combined with Napolioni Qasevakatini, Josua Tawake and Sakaraia Naisua.
The Labasa defence held them at bay with goalkeeper Akuila Mateisuva and centreback Lino Iliesa working overtime.
