More Villages In Bua Get Boost From Fiji Pine

Three more villages in the Bua Province will be assisted by the Fiji Pine Limited with building materials.
This was revealed by the company’s geospatial information system and technical manager Akosita Tuivotua.
Ms Tuivotua said the assistance was valued at $64,801.40.
She said the villages earmarked for the assistance were Dama, Nawaca and Natua.
In January this year, eight villages were assisted by the company in an effort to assist families affected by Tropical Cyclone Yasa and Ana.
Ms Tuivotua said the building materials that will be supplied included items such as timber, roofing iron, louvers, paints and other structural materials.
She said the Ministry of Forestry has been a major helping hand for them.
“Last time, the ministry officers came on board to provide expertise support to help families rebuild their homes,” she said.
Ms Tuivotua said they were hoping that this partnership would continue.
“The ministry provided us with logistical assistance in quoting the prices of items needed,” she added.
