Tanoa Hotel Group has embarked on another corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. This time at the Lautoka Diabetic Hub.

The project, Diabetic Hub, is based at the Lautoka Hospital property and has been undertaken by the Reddy Foundation since December 2020.

When the call from the Ministry of Health of Health and Medical Services’ Western division came to renovate an old building, Area General Manager of Tanoa Hotel Group Narend Kumar did not hesitate to assist.

“We did not want to outsource this project but embrace it as our own as our way of showing care to our local community,” said Mr Kumar.

Mr Kumar said works on the project had begun in December, 2020 with the finishing touches in progress.

“The staff and management also sacrificed some of their personal time as the team targets to handover to the Ministry of Health by the end of this month,” he said.

“This is our way to demonstrate the Tanoa value of social responsibility.

“We continue to be responsible, sensitive, and aware of the communities and the environment in which we operate and do business.

“We hope that we would be making a difference in the lives of those accessing the renovated Diabetic Hub” added Mr Kumar.
