Today Ashna covered the following court proceedings:

1. Prosecution witness in the trial of Kiala Henry Lusaka, Charles O’ Hanlan said he found a note in a child’s handwriting that ‘Daddy had poisoned mummy’.

Mr O’Hanlan also told the High Court in Suva that Lusaka’s pupils were big as saucers and he was most probably under the influence of the narcotic methamphetamine as he gave evidence via skype in the murder trial,

2. The High Court in Suva has dismissed a stay application, in the case of suspended Naitasiri Under-19 rugby lock’s case, seeking permanent stay on his Magistrates Court criminal proceeding.

Naitasiri Under-19 rugby lock, Keresi Maya had filed a motion for a permanent stay on the criminal proceedings against him in the Magistrates Court in Nausori.
